Posts like “reblog if you’re not (some disgusting group of people)” or “reblog if you think ABC” and comments like “I can’t believe only x/y followers reblog it” or “I don’t care about your Blog’s aesthetic if you don’t reblog this you’re an asshole” should stay in 2018. Stop forcing people into giving you notes. Stop thinking it’s helpful. Stop think the people who unfollowed you were those the post referred to. They were probably tired of that bullshit and the feeling of being forced to prove they’re not the scums of the earth. I’m done with this bullshit.
Know what? I’m not done.
A Blog’s “aesthetic” is what the Blog’s runner is most comfortable with, be it text or image only, or more than one type of posts.
It’s the content they choose to view when they log into their account, open the app, whatever. It’s their tagging system to find that one ask that always makes them smile. Or that video that makes their day bearable.
No one is under any obligation to prove themselves via a “reblog if” post. No one is a scum if they don’t reblog a “if you don’t reblog this” post.
“unfollow me if” posts might as well make me unfollow someone. Comments like “two unfollowed me after I reblogged this” do nothing, either, because small chance it was actually someone the post referred to. It might be by mistake, it might be tum*lr it might be someone who felt too obligated and decided to unfollow just because.
Some people come here to fucking relax and interact with friends, read stories/jokes, view gifs/moodboards/aesthetics/graphics, watch videos, and really just go to their sanctuary.

you…. you do realize they NEED these terms…… so that they can host images……. and let ppl see what you send……… right…………
Incapable of holding all knowledge, I did not! I was hopeful someone might be clear it up but I was also hopeful that it was possible to be polite about such things. Can’t win all the time, I guess!
perpetual - So they don’t have to set up some sort of content expiration scheme.
nonexclusive - so you can post it elsewhere and potentially sell it. If anyone asks for exclusive access be very very sure you are getting paid.
transferable - If they get bought by another company they don’t have to wipe all content.
royalty-free - They are not paying you to use their service to host your content
sublicensable - so they can have a 3rd party (like Amazon EC2) do the actual hosting, or provide another service with that content, like chat bots, giphy, etc.
worldwide license - They don’t have to geolock it
to use - Blanket right to use in their app
to host - Otherwise everything has to be externally linked
reproduce, publish, translate, distribute, perform, and display
- Every time someone views the content it is being reproduced because that is the nature of the web.
modify,
adapt,
create derivative works from
- Resize, transcode, change formatting, make thumbnails, etc.
in connection with operating and providing the Service. - Limits these abilities for the sole purposes of being used in the app. Excludes their use in advertising, selling their own copy of stuff, or claiming any sort of ownership outside of the Discord app.
I hope that helps. Legalese can be a little bit daunting but if you know what to look for, like nonexclusive and “
in connection with operating and providing the Service“ you can put your concerns to rest.
I feel like Reeves is one of the few genuinely good people left in the world of celebrities
To my understanding Reeves lives in a nice but relatively small apartment and only keeps enough of his paychecks from each movie to live comfortably, maintain a cushion, and take the occasional vacation, and then he just gives the rest away without fanfare to people who need that money. He’s living the kind of lifestyle I feel like a lot of us would be happy to have with access to that kind of money.
friendly reminder that pets’ bodies do not handle fat the same way human bodies do. obesity in animals often greatly reduces their life span. also, body positivity does not to apply to your pets, so discussing the dangers of them being obese is not “body shaming” them
if you have a pet that is morbidly obese due to overfeeding, you are actively participating in animal neglect at best by failing to provide them with the appropriate diet
stop acting like concern over an animal’s obesity is in any way similar to body shaming humans
